Dr. Gobinath Ravindran is a scholar working in the domain of sustainability with integration of artificial intelligence, he is listed in Top 2% list of Stanford and a highly cited author (2025) and working in the field of sustainability and material development through AI intervention. He served in leading educational institutions across India in research administration cadre. He has published more than 210 Scopus-indexed publications through active research. He is presently serving as Director (SCRI), overseeing the research operations of the university and actively involved in policy decisions and directions that is steering the university towards strong research dissemination. He is a master’s degree holder in Environmental Management and Doctorate degree holder in Disaster Management. He is an active member in the GEER committee of CALTECH involving in documentation of extreme weather events and analysing them through machine learning models. His current research interests include sustainability, climate change modeling, artificial intelligence application, physics informed neural networks application to sustainability, Agentic AI based tool development, social analysis of impact of disaster, carbon sequestration through combined mechanisms. He is an active researcher and editor in various top journals operated by publishers including Springer, Wiley, PLOS etc and series editor of SUCI series of Springer.
