Intellectual Property (IP) is the creation of inventions, literature and artistic works by the mind of human being. The Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) include: Patent, Copyright, Trademark, Industrial Design, Integrated Circuit Layout, Geographical Indicators, and Trade Secrets. "Protection and enforcement of IP contributes to the promotion of technological innovation and to the transfer and dissemination of technology for social and economic welfare"
The Intellectual Property (IP) Cell at Symbiosis Centre for Research and Innovation (SCRI) is established in the academic year 2013-2014. The IP Cell is dedicated towards creating the importance and awareness about the IPR among all the faculty members and students studying in UG, PG and Ph.D. The cell assists and supports the creative young minds of the students to materialize and safeguard their ideas, concepts into reality.
SCRI is committed to establish a transparent administrative system for the ownership control and assignment of intellectual properties and sharing of the revenues generated by the intellectual properties developed and owned by the University.
