Introduction to Faculty of Management:

Symbiosis International (Deemed University) offers research programmes leading to award of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) through SCRI in the Faculty of Management (FoM). FoM has 11 postgraduate and 5 undergraduate B Schools located across Pune, Nashik, Bengaluru, Noida, Hyderabad and Nagpur. The Faculty of management is one of the largest faculty of the University. The B Schools under the FoM of Symbiosis International University are highly reputed for management education in India. The first B Schools – Symbiosis Institute of Business Management Pune - was established in 1978 and later several other B Schools were established across different locations. The FoM offers a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, programs in management and related fields. The Faculty of Management offers Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Management.

Dean’s Profile: Dr. Rajiv Divekar :is the Dean of Faculty of Management. He is a veteran soldier and an academician. He had a very distinguished career in the Army, which included service with the United Nations in Somalia and Lebanon. He was a faculty at the Indian Military Academy, College of Engineering, Defence Services Staff College, and Army War College. He has also done the Staff Course at Camberley, UK. He is B. E. Civil (Gold Medallist) and was Head of Faculty 'Strategic and Operational Studies' at Army War College and a faculty member in Defence Strategic Studies at Defence Services Staff College, Wellington. He has done M.Phil. from D. A. V. V. University, M.Sc. from Madras University and MBA specializing in Human Resource Management. He has done his PhD from Symbiosis International University. He has a large no. of publications in peer-reviewed, Scopus-indexed National and international Journals. He is the recipient of the ‘Rajiv Gandhi Education Excellence Award’, ‘Rashtriya Vidya Gaurav Gold Medal Award’, ‘Education Leadership Award’ and “Outstanding B-School Director Award”.
