Dr Ruchika Kaul-Ghanekar specializes in Biotechnology and Cancer Biology. She holds her PhD degree from National Centre for Cell Science (an autonomous institute of Dept. of Biotechnology, Govt. of India), University of Pune. She has worked in prestigious organizations that include Interactive Research School of Health Affairs (IRSHA), Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University, Agharkar Research Institute (an autonomous institute of Dept. of Science and Technology, Govt. of India), Dept. of Biotechnology, University of Pune. She has been a recipient of DBT post-doctoral fellow, Best Researcher Award in 2011 at Bharati Vidyapeeth University.
She has a vast research experience in the field of testing drugs for anticancer activity in vitro and in vivo models and has completed a couple of clinical studies as well. Her research focusses on understanding the crosstalk between cell signalling, metabolism and epigenetic pathways in cancer. This would lead to development of novel therapeutic strategies to reprogram and prevent cancer development.
Dr. Ruchika has been a member of Ministry of AYUSH, Unani Scientific Advisory Committee, Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College Ethics and Homeopathy Ethics Committees, Chairman Nanobiology in MTech Nanotechnology Course of Bharati Vidyapeeth Engineering College, etc. She has supervised several PhDs, Medical/Dental/Ayurvedic/Homeopathy/MTech Nano students and mentored few postdoctoral fellows. Her research work is published in several reputed international journals and she has one Indian patent to her credit.
Dr Ruchika has joined Symbiosis Centre for Research and Innovation (SCRI), the research promoting unit of Symbiosis International University (SIU), in the new role of a Director. Her work will be to help researchers to achieve excellence in their work, eventually benefitting the society at large. This will complement with the SIU’s vision of creation of knowledge for the benefit of the Society into reality.
Dr. Sanjay Pohekar is Mechanical Engineer by education and academic administrator by profession. He obtained doctorate degree in from BITS, Pilani in 2004. He has also been in-charge doctoral programme over last 20 years in various universities including BITS, Pilani.
He has 30 years of experience. He has taught in collaborative education programmes and conducted many MDPs.
He has 30 international journal publications to his credit with a total citation count of over 4080 as on date. He is on reviewer board of Elsevier Science, Springer, Inder-science and Wiley-VCH, UK to name a few. He has successfully guided five doctoral students in the areas of energy engineering, heat transfer and computational fluid dynamics.
He has also guided two National Renewable Energy fellowships. He is guiding four scholars for doctoral theses. He is life member of many professional societies and associations. He is presently Professor and Head of Research programs at Symbiosis Centre for Research and Innovation at Symbiosis International ( Deemed University), Pune
Dr. Yogesh Patil is currently Professor and Head – Research & Publications at the Symbiosis Centre for Research and Innovation (SCRI), Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune, India. He did his doctorate research work at the Division of Microbial Sciences, MACS Agharkar Research Institute (DST Funded), Pune, India and obtained his PhD from University of Pune, Pune in 1999. He has qualified GATE as well as UGC-NET.
Dr. Patil has 25 years of post-graduate teaching and research experience in the area of Environmental Science, Management & Technology and has taught wide range of courses. His scholarly interest and expertise include - waste resource management, bioremediation, sustainability, climate change mitigation and industrial ecology.
Dr. Patil has published over 75 research papers indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. He has also published 3 edited books in the area of Applied Bioremediation and Climate Change. He has two granted and one patent to his credit. As a guest editor, Dr. Patil has published 3 special issues of Elsevier journal. Dr. Patil has undertaken several research/consultancy projects funded by UGC, IFS, Sweden & OPCW, The Netherlands (Nobel Peace Prize 2013). World Bank, DST, DST-PURSE and HEMRL. He is recipient of several honors/fellowship awards like DST-JRF, CSIR-SRF, Best PhD Research Award, UGC-Post Doctoral Fellowship to name a few. He is a reviewer for several journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. Dr. Patil likes to work in interdisciplinary areas which cut across science, technology and management.

Dr. Anand Shindikar is currently working as an Associate Professor and Head, Intellectual Property (IP) Cell at Symbiosis Centre for Research and Innovation (SCRI), Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune, India. Dr Shindikar received the doctoral and postgraduation qualification in Pharmaceutical sciences from University of Mumbai. He is a registered Indian Patent Agent. He has more than 16 years of cumulative research experience inclusive of Industry and Medical research. His research areas include Chemical Process Development, Drug Discovery and Health Sciences. During his stint in pharma industry, he has developed efficient chemical processes for drug and drug intermediates.
As an inventor, he has to his credit, patent applications published in India and abroad. He has presented research work in various Drug Discovery conferences, Indian Pharmaceutical Congress and in conferences held by Indian Society of Chemists and Biologists. His research work on Antiepileptic drugs molecules, Antimycobacterial agents has been published in peer reviewed journals with 120 + citations.
Dr. Shindikar is a recipient of HF Khorakiwala Gold Medal and was awarded research fellowships -Amrut Mody Research Fellowship at Bombay College of Pharmacy, Santacruz, Mumbai, Senior Research Fellowship of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Govt. of India and Senior Research Fellowship of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Govt. of India. He has received certification from Clinical Development Services Agency (CDSA) for completion of course work on ‘Current Regulatory Requirements for conducting clinical trials in India for investigational new drugs / new drug.

Dr. Vishal Pradhan is an Assistant Professor (Statistics) with a postgraduate in Statistics and Management, holding Ph.D. from Symbiosis International University, Pune. He is avid about mentoring young researchers, PhD scholars and faculty members regarding statistical data analysis and reporting. He collaborates with faculty members to write empirical research papers; partners with funded research project groups as a PI/Co-PI and writes good research papers based on its data; evaluates proposed data analysis strategy; conducts Faculty Development Programs on statistical data analysis and reporting; contributes as a peer reviewer for research conferences and journals; and takes sessions in the PhD coursework program, supervisors conclave, Ph.D. clinics, and other MDPs.
Dr. Pradhan discourses on the pressing socio-psychological management issue and diffusion of culture using psychometric modeling. His research interest includes topics on socio-cultural phenomena, eco-social adaptation, public management systems, and socio-organizational issues using empirical and experimental psychometric research design. His interest areas of data analysis include Interpretive analysis, Structural modeling, Sociometric, Psychometric, and Econometric analysis techniques. Currently is working on a project granted by ICSSR in a socio-ecological domain. He has several research papers and book chapters to his credit in peer-reviewed journals. He is a Ph.D. research guide under the Faculty of Management and is an Accredited Management Teacher from the All-India Management Association, New Delhi.
