Intramural Funding

Intramural Funding Projects

The primary objective is to institutionalize research endeavors and foster excellence in scholarly pursuits by providing initial financial support to individual researchers and faculty members. Symbiosis International University (SIU) accomplishes this through the allocation of seed money, which is instrumental in facilitating research activities at various stages of development. The seed money support is channelled through three key avenues:

  • Student Research Projects: These projects provide students with invaluable opportunities to engage in hands-on research under the mentorship of faculty members. This not only contributes to their academic growth but also enhances the overall research output of the university. SRPs play a vital role in the educational and research mission of SIU, offering students transformative learning experiences while contributing to the university's research excellence and interdisciplinary engagement.
  • Minor Research ProjectsThese projects serve as a platform for faculty members to explore and develop nascent research ideas. They enable researchers to conduct preliminary investigations or pilot studies, laying the groundwork for more comprehensive research endeavours. SIU encourages researchers and faculty members to carry out researches independently/individually under this channel.
  • Major class="mr-3Research ProjectsThese projects serve as a platform for faculty members to explore and develop nascent research ideas. They enable researchers to conduct preliminary investigations or pilot studies, laying the groundwork for more comprehensive research endeavors. Major Research Projects at SIU serve as catalysts for ground-breaking discoveries and advancements, embodying the university's commitment to fostering excellence, innovation, and collaboration in research.
