PET 2026 Test Structure

Test Structure: Multiple Choice Questions

Date and Time : 9 May 2026, Saturday, 2 pm -3.30 pm

• The test would be conducted in an online mode using a safe browser provided by the University.
• Candidates with NET/SET/SLET/GATE/M.Phil. or are UGC/CSIR/ICMR DBT/RGNF/MANF/DST Inspire & NBHM Fellows, are exempted from the entrance test during the validity period of the certificate/award. However, such candidates have to mandatorily appear for the personal interview.
• The personal interactions will be conducted through video conferencing mode if they have qualified the entrance test/exempted from the entrance test
• For the Faculty of Law, Management, Media and Communication and Education there are no sub-streams and hence one test paper aimed at testing comprehensive knowledge of the Faculty would be applicable
• For other Faculties ( i.e. FoCS, FoMHS, FoMC, FoHSS) subject specific tests would be applicable
• For the Faculty of Engineering, subject specific tests as mentioned below would be applicable
• (A) Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electronics & Telecom, Computer Science & IT , Robotics & Automation, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning)
• (B) Sciences ( Physics, chemistry, Mathematics and Geospatial Sciences)

Note: As per the Norms of Indian Nursing Council (INC), the entrance test for Nursing would consist of one test section for 90 Marks.

Section B for FoHSS for all the substreams shall be 50 Marks essay for 1 hour time . Each Substream will provide a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 10 Essay Type Questions. Students will attempt only 1 question. The rubric will be shared in the question paper.

Section B for Fo Education shall be 50 Marks essay for 1 hour time . SIU will provide a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 10 Essay Type Questions. Students will attempt only 1 question. The rubric will be shared in the question paper.
